Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Brush for an Eyeliner Klutz! For me, putting on eyeliner has been a disaster. "Back in the day", eyeliner pencils were so hard you literally had to put the pencil between your teeth and hold it in your mouth to warm it up otherwise it practically ripped your eyelids off. Eventually along came gel liners. Yeah, progress,---sort of. If in a pot, it seemed as if no matter what brush I used the gel would blob in places and would never look even. Next the gels came in a pencil-like format, but they weren't a lot better. Thick application when wanting thin and thin when wanting thick. EEE GAD! Then I discovered IT! I love the gel liner. It lasts all day and now with this rake-like brush on a bent handle, I can regulate the amount of liner on the brush itself and application is absolutely so easy it's laughable. Dip the brush in the gel liner, remove excess as you skim it along the edge of the gel pot and apply the gel liner right into the lash line, dabbing to leave liner dots. The rake-like bristles reach right down into the lash line. Take the brush, add a tad more gel liner, and sweep across the base of the eyelid, by the eyelashes. I get a perfect line every time, even the first time I used it. I cannot say enough good things about the liner and about this brush. Jamie---you're the bomb!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this brush! I love everything about this brush! I love the fence like cut in the liner side. It helps me get the perfect amount of product and helps me get closer to the lash line. I also like the bent side for blending my liner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from really good I'd give this 4 1/2 stars if I could. I love this brush. The "picket fence" end is great for doing a very subtle, natural line to make your lashes look really thick if you use it in a "3-dot" method of application. The bent handle makes it easy to apply liner in the traditional way, though I do find that the brush is a bit thicker than I like - it's hard to get a fine line, though you can achieve a nice, softer thick line with it.

I am trying to understand how to apply the gel liner with this brush. I see people writing to put it in your lashes? Which side do I use for what? Somebody help

Asked by: lvecowboys
Hi, Thank you for your question. You can use either side of the brush, depending on the eye liner you're drying to draw. The flat brush with a fence will allow you to draw a very thin line and lay down pigments in between your lashes for a fuller lash line. Rounder brush on the angled end will give you a more thicker line.

Hi, is the 'fenced' end of this brush the same as the 'fenced' brow brush? My options are limited in Canada (on TSC) - they only have the brow brush with a brow gel, but only in auburn. If this is the same brush, then I'll buy the eyeliner cream & brush.

Hi, Thank you for your question. The fence shape is the same for both brushes but you will find that the bristle for the Build-A-Brow brush is a bit shorter and more denser than the eyeliner brush. You could still use it with your gel creme eyeliner.

After I apply the gel, i find the brush cakes when it drys- when i rinse with water, the brush still hardens- is there a something special I should do after, or store it a certain way

Hi, Thank you for your question. We recommend that you wash the brush with an eye makeup remover or a makeup wipe after every use, as the gel residue left on the brush will dry and harden the bristles. The waterproof gel formula on your brush will not wash away with just water so we recommend using a waterproof makeup remover.
