IT Artist FAQs
The IT ARTIST program is a complimentary membership program for makeup artists, estheticians, hairstylists, salon professionals and students enrolled in makeup or cosmetology school.
Qualifying IT ARTIST professional members receive a 30% discount when purchasing products at itcosmetics.com, while qualifying student members receive a 20% discount.
Professional applicants must provide a valid photo ID and 2 professional credentials from within the last 2 years. One of the professional credentials must be a union card, professional license, or current letter of employment. The other may be a union card, professional license, diploma or certificate from accredited makeup or cosmetology school, editorial page with name credit, call sheet on production company letterhead, tear sheet with name credit, letter of employment or paystub from a client, salon or cosmetics retailer, or a professional website.
Current students or recent graduates must provide a valid photo ID and proof of enrollment in an accredited makeup or cosmetology school, which may include an enrollment agreement, class schedule, or receipt of payment or confirmation of program attendance on school letterhead. The proof of enrollment must include your name, the name of the program you’re enrolled in, and the start and end date. Certification must list a minimum of 40 hours completed or in progress within one year.
The following are not considered acceptable credentials: Social media sites, business cards and pro membership cards from other brands.
Please submit via email or U.S. mail a completed IT ARTIST Membership Application plus a valid photo ID and 2 credentials proving you’re a current cosmetics professional or student. All documents must be submitted together; incomplete applications will not be considered.

The IT ARTIST program is currently available in the United States only. The special discounts and privileges associated with the IT ARTIST program are exclusive to IT ARTISTS, and membership is non-transferable. IT ARTIST discounts are available only at itcosmetics.com, and cannot be used at QVC or in retail stores. Discounts cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions, and cannot be used on products already discounted.
IT Cosmetics™ reserves the right to limit member purchases. IT ARTISTS may not purchase more than six of the same item per transaction. Transactions are limited to $500 per day and no more than $4,000 per year, prior to the discount being applied. High-purchase volume may trigger a review of the member’s purchases and membership account. Products acquired through the IT ARTIST program are intended for the personal and professional use by IT ARTISTS, and may not to be resold under any circumstances.
IT Cosmetics™ reserves the right to approve, deny or cancel membership and revoke membership discounts and privileges at any time, and at its discretion. IT Cosmetics™ reserves the right to modify the program and its benefits at any time and without prior notification.
Memberships for professionals who qualify for the 30% discount are valid for 2 years, while memberships for students who qualify for the 20% discount are valid for 1 year. Students may apply to have their discount increased to 30% at any time within the year, as long as they provide credentials required for the professional discount.
• Memberships expire every two years for Professionals and one year for Students from the date of acceptance. When renewing, professionals only need to show 1 required credential (professional license, union card, current letter of employment – and a valid form of ID to retain the 30% discount. Students may reapply to have their discount increased to 30%, as long as they provide the required professional credentials and a valid form of ID.
IT Cosmetics™ does not issue physical membership cards for the IT ARTIST program.
